Calypso Band and Percussion Ensemble
HSU Calypso Band premieres “Pandemic” by Matt Norman, the first performance of a full-length piece composed by one of its own members in its 28 year history. The Percussion Ensemble also premieres a new work, “Engine Room,” by HSU alum Dante DeSilva, to celebrate the HSU centennial. Plus, there's much more percussion, world music and the usual high-energy dance rhythms. Directed by Eugene Novotney and Howard Kaufman, produced by HSU Music Department.
