Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

Join Friends of the Dunes in a smartphone-powered BioBlitz, followed by some restoration. A BioBlitz is an intensive one-day study of biodiversity in a specific location; in this case, participants will collect citizen science data using the iNaturalist app. After learning about biodiversity in the dunes, participants are encouraged to stick around and help remove the invasive plants that threaten this biodiversity. Bring your work gloves, a fully charged smartphone with the iNaturalist app already downloaded, and tons of enthusiasm. Together, we'll conduct citizen science!
