Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

Big Hunger

When: Fri., March 30, 4-5:30 p.m. 2018
Phone: 707-822-3793
Price: Free
Andy Fisher, author of Big Hunger: The Unholy Alliance Between Corporate America and Anti-Hunger Groups, will speak on Friday, March 30, 4pm at the Humboldt Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. This community event is sponsored by Locally Delicious, the Humboldt Food Policy Council, and Food for People, and the HUUF Social Action Committee. Fisher’s research finds that efforts to end hunger, reduce obesity, and reform farm subsidies are compromised by corporate interests. Encouragingly, Big Hunger sets forth a vision for what we can do to solve hunger. The public is invited to this important discussion. 24 Fellowship Way, Bayside.
