Re: “No, I Like Eureka

I totally understand the Westside Sanguine Society's objection to having their effort co-opted -- especially if the Neighborhood Watch Group is profiting from selling merchandise. However, given that the WSS's intent is to inspire civic pride in Eureka, it seems like they might welcome amplification of their message. For instance, I'd be psyched to sport a shirt or hat with their design. It seems like a big advantage for WSS if people are willing to pay for these things themselves -- instead of WSS having to bear all the cost to spread the positive message. I wonder if WSS might either offer stickers and other gear through one of the many online vendors that allow people to order gear with your logo (e.g. Zazzle) and/or permit ENWG to use their design, but only if the gear is sold at cost -- so that it's helping get the message out but not profiting ENWG financially.
I hope that WSS and the ENWG can find a way to work together on this.
