Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

Meet leader Michael Morris at the end of South I Street (Klopp Lake. The month of March will bring in some early terrestrial migrants, like warblers, flycatchers, and vireos, while still hosting an abundance of wintering shorebirds and ducks. We will spend time birding by ear, while also keeping an eye out for early nesting activity from resident breeders as well. It should be a good opportunity to see some flocks gearing up for their northward push. Let us know you plan to attend by text/messaging Ralph Bucher.
