Arts Alive and Redwood Curtain Theatre Re-Opening

After more than two years dark due to the pandemic, the loss of our artistic director and the retirement of our executive director, the organization is exploring how to entertain the public once again. Under the guidance of new leadership and rebuilding artistic offerings, Redwood Curtain starts with an opening reception that coincides with Eureka’s Arts Alive activities. In addition to the usual finger foods and beverages, there will be a dutch auction and a representative from Redwood Theatre Casting in the lobby during the evening. The lobby gallery will feature the ink illustrations of Darcy Brown. Redwood Curtain will also feature the musical talents of Justin Ross in the main theatre space. The Redwood Curtain gallery and theatre is located at 220 1 st Street, Eureka. Brown’s art will be on display through the month of May. Future theatre events are currently in the works, including a Miscast Cabaret, Jenni and David and the Sweet Soul Band, and Longshadr Players production of Madsummer. Additionally, Redwood Curtain’s Conservatory will return beginning on May 18, with 6 different classes happening until June 27. Managing director Nanette Voss insists, “Stay tuned for more shows and educational opportunities sponsored and produced by Redwood Curtain Theatre.” Regular stage productions will resume this fall!
