I am a retired journalist. After reading Heidi's account of her day in Loleta, I can only commend her for an excellent slice-of-life story about the pulse of a small town in coastal California. She captured the essence of Loleta, including the character of each person mentioned in her story. The true colors of each came through as she allowed them to do the talking while she--as a good reporter should--merely recorded their voices. Job well done. The story should be posted on the community bulletin board on Main Street for all to see.
