Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

Join Redwood Region Audubon Society for a free guided field trip. Meet leader Larry Karsteadt at the end of South I Street (Klopp Lake) in Arcata. The cold January air almost always leads to gorgeous and clear views, making birds like sandpipers, pelicans, godwits, curlews, gulls, harriers, and ducks even more magnificent to watch. Bring your binoculars and have a great morning birding. Please visit www.rras.org for COVID-19 participation guidelines. Let us know you plan to attend by text/messaging Ralph Bucher with the walk date and name, email and phone number for each participant.
