Re: “Mills: Suspect Pointed Gun at Officer Before Being Shot

"While Linfoot was wearing a body camera at the time of the shooting, Mills said it wasnt recording. The officer, he said, was just going through lineup at the beginning of his shift and hadnt powered up and activated his camera before he was dispatched to help search for Lasinski."

Isn't this one of the officers who should be especially ordered to use his body camera as required, when required? How dumb are we supposed to pretend to be, to think it takes an unnecessarily burdensome amount of time to press a button to turn on the camera, and with just as quick a push of a button, to begin recording? Especially when the officer knows he's en route to pursue a fleeing suspect? What is the public being forced to pay for by way of police officers equipped with body cameras they only use during traffic stops? Very convenient for them in litigation over armed conflict, as the word of a police officer carries weight.
