Re: “Into and Out of the Theater Business

The sound system is so messed up at this theatre that the most wonderful band sounds terrible. I hope the previous owners fix it before selling it, or the new owners will be stuck dealing with the problem.

Re: “Funding Hunt Begins for McKinleyville Community Forest

I just looked at that map and it looks like the "low-density housing" (is that a term for large, expensive homes for the wealthy) is bordering on our neighborhood which is accessed by gravel roads. When people buy houses in this neighborhood they are told that forest will never be developed! What's going on here?!

Re: “McKinleyville Residents Turn Out to Talk Crime, Pot, Homelessness With Sen. McGuire

So, he's opposed to allowing homeless people to sleep in their cars, and he thinks redevelopment is going to solve our community's problems? I completely disagree with this individual. Redevelopment is where they tear down small business and the homes of the poor and give the land to rich developers to build more expensive homes and big-name businesses. It harms the poor. Homeless people cannot afford homes or hotels or campsites and sometimes their cars are their only option. If they sleep away from their car (say, in the woods) their car, where all of their belongings are stored, could be broken in to. It happened to somebody I know. Do not vote for or support this corrupt individual.
