Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces."
COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.
The Humboldt Branch of AAUW (American Association of University Women) welcomes Maggie Fleming, Humboldt County's first female District Attorney, as its guest program presenter. Registration and a social time begin at 9:30. A brief business meeting at 10 will be followed by Ms. Fleming's program. At 11, lunch catered by Ramone's will be provided. Old Business follows and includes a Scholarship Auction (funds going toward the annual Re-Entry Scholarships), a vote on the budget, and closing comments.
Interested members of the community are welcome to attend all or part of the event. Reservations are required: 407-0113. Anyone who would like to attend Ms. Fleming's presentation needs to make the $6 coffee and tea only reservation. Others who would like to attend and have the luncheon need to call and make the full $18 reservation. There is no obligation to participate in the auction though participation is appreciated.
