https://www.facebook.com/groups/452125738475268/ a FB page for WWII veterans and their families for the APc boats. These boats all served right beside their more famous cousins, the PT Torpedo boats.
The Allen Cody (USS APc-48) or the Dennis Gayle (USS APc-5) should be raised, restored to their WWII glory and put in a museum to honor the 5000 or so WWII sailors that served on them and fought for our country in the early ominous days of the Pacific war campaign. There are very few of these boats left and none have been preserved as they should.
