Re: “Judge Cuts to the Chase in Public Defender Lawsuit

"A person is not eligible to the office of public defender unless he has been a practicing attorney in all of the courts of the state for at least the year preceding the date of his election or appointment."

Being a "Practicing Attorney", indicates to me, that an Attorney should be involved, "Hands-On", with active cases, IN ALL of the courts of the State.
Being simply LICENSED to practice does not seem to meet those requirements.
In my eyes, David Marcus is clearly not qualified for the position he's been so graciously and improperly given. And the fact that he's lost one job for basically being uninvolved and unable to put in the time required (Dare I say "Lazy?"), only adds to his disgrace.
One has to question if ANY Defendant, represented by the Public Defenders office since, and even prior, to his appointment, has been "properly" defended by Attorneys whose Hearts were driven and unencumbered by their lack of faith in the Department itself.
May His Honor interpret the Law with eyes open and a Just hand!
