Re: “Feds Announce New Klamath Accord to Remove Dams by 2020

It is nice that the removal of the four dams produces a free running river for the Klamath River basin and the Salmon. However, I have a couple of rather embarrassing questions.
How are you going to replace the $2M per day of clean energy that is now produced by each of the four dams?? Also, how are you going to replace the flood retarding capabilities of the four dams once they are removed?? (I didn't spend four summers building earth flood retarding dams in North GA from 1959 to 1963 for the USDA, Soil & Water Conservation Service while I was a Civil Engineering major at GA Tech for nothing).
Also, who is going to rebuild and pay for the infrastructure of the dams once they are removed (say do you have a spare $1B).
[I didn't spend nearly ten years doing preliminary & location surveys for the old Calif. Div. of Hwys in Dist.IV, San Francisco, South Bay Surveys for nothing either].
Sincerely yours,
A property owner on Copco Lake from 2008 to 2013. And thank you very much.
