just leaving a comment.........my great grandmother... my mom's gramma was a survivor from a Mattole massacre..........who was raise - enslaved until a teen and released to go free with a baby girl..........my mom is an enrolled member of the Bear River Tribe... yes Lincoln set the blacks free but Native's were not... branding on the inside of the mouth... well we read (my mom and I) read the article today...and wow...and right now the police at Standing Rock in North Dakota is like a moment from the article arresting and shooting is happening and the people are unarmed........protesting in peaceful way...10/27/16
