Re: “Amid Controversy Over New Policy, KHSU Volunteer Tried to Thwart Studio Move

In reading Mr. Knight's email message to the KHSU station engineer, he seems to be encouraging, pleading with even ("begging" in his words), the engineer to take actions that would constitute obstructing or sabotaging HSU operations. That would be obstruction or sabotage against the state of California. If he hasn't done so already, he would probably benefit from hiring an attorney, hoping for the best, and expecting the worst in state charges. On the other hand and considering that KHSU also falls under the jurisdiction of the Federal Communications Commission, he could also face federal charges.

Re: “Concerned Community Members Flood Meeting to Discuss Firing of Woman who 'Put the K in KHSU'

Grow up, Humboldt County.
KHSU is desperately in need of an organizational enema starting with showing the door to the legions of people who have been there for far too long and are an albatross around the station's neck. Good riddance.

For as much as the community hates HSU, it simultaneously believes that it is entitled to control KHSU. The community has been leaning on street drug use and economics for way too long. The best outcome is for the community to completely withdraw all of its financial support of KHSU thus enabling KHSU to completely free itself of the arrogance and ignorance of the community and ignore the fools of think they get to decide on the day-to-day operations of KHSU. Sickening this whole sordid matter. And so long Katie Whiteside. Do us all a favor and leave California.

Re: “St. Joseph Health Hit with Anti-Trust Lawsuit Alleging Unfair Business Practices to Protect 10-fold Price Markeups

St. Joseph Hospital Eureka and Redwood Memorial Hospital are cesspools of arrogance, ineptitude, exploitation and abuse. The organization is rotten to the very center. If any organization deserves this lawsuit, it is unquestionably Providence St. Joseph. They are a scourge on Humboldt County and a danger to public health.

Re: “Mateel Talks Bankruptcy

Finally, the Mateel Community Center is getting its just desserts for all of the years it has been operated stupidly, arrogantly, irresponsibly and unsustainably.

So the great social and economic savior that the marijuana growing industry has long been touted in Humboldt County isn't coughing up the money to save the Mateel Community Center? Shocking. Not really.

And the sure sign that stupidity still reigns at the Humboldt Area Foundation: Dumping $5,000.00 into the decaying cesspool that is the Mateel Community Center. Typical.

Re: “Something to Crow About

Urban chicken raising is a near total fad. Like your live fowl? Fine. Do not keep your live fowl in an urban area. Don't like applicable county regulations? Fine. Get involved and work to change them. In the meantime, do not keep your live fowl in an urban area.
Yes, this may be too complicated for some people to comprehend.

Forget special dispensation for Mr. Rush.

Re: “Bait and Switch

This is perfect just desserts for Humboldt County. The stupid, arrogant and greedy marijuana growers and long-complicit community (businesses and individuals) created the economic and social cesspool that continues to engulf and drown Humboldt County. All of this couldn't happen to a more deserving populace.

Re: “Dark of Night Edits to a Sungrown Ordinance

For decades, Humboldt County government, businesses and residents got all in on the marijuana game...betting everything. The Humboldt County marijuana-based economy is, of course, on a steady and ceaseless decline as California and other states move to legalization. Thus, Humboldt County government, businesses and residents deserve the cesspool that Humboldt County has become due to their full embrace of the marijuana-based economy and the rot will only intensify. It is all just desserts.
