You do realize this article isn't about St. Joe's, right?
"According to a statement from St. Joseph's Hospital, the organization that owns five of the six local skilled nursing facilities recently informed the hospital that the facilities would no longer accept its patients."
This sentence may have been the one that confused you into thinking that St. Joe's is the one that owns the facilities. However after reading the article you can see that it's this Shlomo character.
So, why get indignant at St. Joe's when this article isn't really about them at all?
