Why did they not assure passage of the sales tax measure by putting a sunset on it ?
It was because they were afraid that voters would say no after 5 or 10 years from now and they wanted to take that choice away from them.
As far as paying for the Covid-19 recovery ? The recovery will be over in less than two years and this tax will be there forever.

In the last three months we have ordered takeout from Hunan Restaurant and it has become one of our favorite Eureka restaurants.

I was looking forward to buying my office a take out lunch from the Jerk Kitchen.
However when we called in our order we were told they don't take orders over the phone. Were we supposed to place an order for nine people and then have someone wait there ?
Unfortunately I had to buy the lunch from another restaurant.

If the city council was deliberately misled every staff member involved should be fired immediately after the June 18th city council meeting no matter who they are.

43 have been hospitalized at "some point in the last nine months".
A more important statistic is how many are currently in the hospital ?
Why won't they tell us ? It makes a huge difference if there is 1 in the hospital or 15. Or is it zero ?
