EVERYONE IN PUBLIC OFFICE SHOULD HAVE TO PASS A DRUG TEST! After 30+ years of total political control in Humboldt county, where is the great utopian society promised by LIBERALS!? Eureka is a society in moral, political and economic decay. The population hasn't increased since THE MID 1960's! The whole city is an official historic landmark! Is that all we want to settle for? Homeless people and meth heads run wild and the politicians really think putting a few more cops on the beat solves the problem? It seems every election year they (politicians and union activists) threaten us (everyday working citizens) by saying they're going to close schools, police stations, fire departments, and other public safety services. They're not interested in YOU! They're trying to save their own skin. VOTE NO ON ALL THESE PROPS!
You really think lack of money is the problem? (Shake your head in the "no" fasion) It's incompetent liberals that like fat pensions paid for by you and me. CUT PENSIONS! I'm all for taking care of our beloved public servants but not in the name of a morally degraded society.
There needs to be a policy change that makes homelessness and pan handling a crime. This will EMPOWER NOT ENABLE the ever increasing homeless population in Eureka or force them to move out of here and allow for THE REAL WORKING PEOPLE OF AMERICA to go to work and send their kids to school without the fear of being mugged. IF THE CITY COUNCIL IS SO SYMPATHETIC TO THE HOMELESS; Then I say, "THEY SHOULD OPEN ALL CITY AND COUNTY OFFICES THAT ARE VACANT AT NIGHT TO HOUSE THE HOMELESS!" Will this ever happen? NO! Why?! Because it's a public safety nightmare! One that they want you and I to pay for! I say NO MORE MONEY FOR POOR PUBLIC SERVICE PERFORMANCE! Our beloved school teachers, police officers, and fire fighters deserve to be relieved of this burden (vagabonds, homelessness, and druggies). This will get the ball rolling in the RIGHT direction and not the LEFT (which be renamed the DOWN). Obviously I could go on for hours. Get informed Humboldt an let's pull our heads out of our political asses!

Eureka has the same property theft rate as Oakland! WAKE UP THE SILENT MAJORITY AND VOTE NO ON THESE PROPS AND VOTE THESE CRIMINALS OUT OF OFFICE!

Amen to The Reasoner! These guys and gals of OUR police force is the only thing keeping us from complete anarchy here! I just moved here from Redding in January and y'all are so screwed up here.
I say we start a legal defense fund for COPS NOT CRIMINALS that are involved in these kind of situations. EPD you have my support and I'm serious about starting a legal defense fund so that the CRIMINALS AREN'T THE ONLY ONES WITH LAYERS! Your beloved liberal politicians do everything in secret and not one peep! What's wrong with you people? Do you want to disarm the police all together?!
Did you know that EPD is overworked and underpaid and you throw these noble men and women under the bus the first chance you get!

I will go to the bank tomorrow to see what is that I have to do and also seek the proper legal avenues. I'm not going to allow this drug filled, homeless ridden community to decline anymore. My children can't even safely play outside and if y'all had your way our neighborhoods would be patrolled by drug dealers and not these brave men and women!
