Re: “Cannabis in Crisis

Go big or go broke. Humboldt County should receive subsidies from the Cal Dept. of agriculture. It is a potential revenue source. Measure S revenue is miniscule compared to crop supports.

Since the Great Depression, the federal government has played a role in aiding the nations farms through state subsidies, including direct payments, crop insurance, and loans. In 2019, farms received $22.6 billion in government payments, representing 20.4% of $111.1 billion in profits. Focus on all programs to help farmers conserve animal habitat, curb air and water pollution, and reduce water use during that time. $$$

Re: “The Atomic Priesthood, Giant Rutabagas and What's Next for Humboldt's Decommissioned Nuke Plant

Some Atomic Priests are mingling at the bar in King Salmon when several glowing rutabagas roll in. "Howdy, aliens," one fissionable ecclesiastic inquires. "Where are you from?" Obviously your stay at the atomic tabernacle has doubled your chromosome number of 2n = 38!!!
One rutabaga (emitting Radiation) answers, "I come from a place where we do not end our sentences in prepositions." "Oh, I'm sorry," replies the Master Pastor. "Where are you from, jackasses?"
