This is a classic Murl Harpham quote: "I stood there and lectured him a good 10 minutes before he left." It shows, once again, why Harpham's a '70s kind of guy--unfortunately, it's the 1870s. Murl, the guy is mentally ill. Lecturing him is not going to do any good, and you don't possess the professional background to deal with this kind of mental illness. Sadly, with our current state of budget woes and inability/unwillingness to deal with mental health issues, Mr. Bruner will continue to hoard, live in the brush and, like the proverbial bear, shit in the woods.
Re: “Doo-Doo? Don’t”
Actually, in light of Interim Police Chief Murl The Pearl Harpham refering to Eureka as a "Rat hole" several years back, I don't understand the umbrage so many have taken with Mielke's cartoon. I do take issue with his portrayal of Orleans as being bear rich when, in fact, you're much more likely to see a tweeked-out drunk sprawled in the road than an mammal of the ursine persuasion.
