Reminder: Hospitals 1:8 nurse to patient ratio by law. SNF's minimum law: I went into LTC (Long Term Care) in 2003 our patient levels were 34-36; I left in 2009 the case load had increased to 67, for one nurse!. RN>in the geriatric field, such as I, has left me unemployable to the Acute/Hospital setting. Another career change is in order. Stricter laws for staffing, medical financial abuses, corrupted paid surveyors. It broke my heart.
