Re: “Farmer to Farmer

Person to Person: "free competitive markets," require infrastructure, essential services and having those impossible conversations about how our community lives and works together. Huge praise to all those, like the Buckeye Conservancy, who are willing to lead us all towards those essential, informed, adult conversations. While the Democratic Process can be ludicrous, as we witness daily on the National level, the alternative is truly horrific!

Re: “Smarten Up

Bernie knew the issue, Clinton knew how to govern, and Trump knew how to win, so we all Shut Down. Is it too early to start the Shoulda Voted Movement?

Automation, algorithms and deflation will define our species for the next millennium, and it's past time to have that conversation, and start planning for it.

Re: “Supes to Planning Commission: “MYOB”

Hopefully, someone will actually read the County Code, reinforce proper roles, and respect all those willing to serve on our local Board of Supervisors...

Re: “UPDATED: Former Supervisor Jimmy Smith Dead at 67

Supervisor Smith set the standard for good governance, and just being a decent person. Our thoughts and thanks to his family, for sharing so much of his time and support for our community...

Re: “COP 21: The First Week

Thanks for the synopsis and your attendance at this important event!

Please follow the Ecomodernism conversation, and commit to making decisions based on science, not industrial interests of the fossil fuels and renewable industries: (http://www.ecomodernism.org)

For the first time in history, we have the technology to deliver clean air and water, sustainable communities and prosperity for billions, forever... However, we also need to agree to make decisions based on science and standard Risk Assessment analysis.

You should also follow the California Energy Commission 2015 IEPR Update, and EPA Clean Power Plan "all of the above energy strategy." California is the 8th largest economy in the world, currently ranked 20th in CO2 emissions! It's past time for prosperous nations to do something about the mess we have created, to lift billions out of poverty and stop the deaths of tens of millions each year from energy poverty and air pollution!

These comments are as good a place as any for you to help support the nascent Ecomodernism movement: http://docketpublic.energy.ca.gov/PublicDo…

Feel free to contact me at kirkgothier@gmail.com, for any additional clean energy technology info...
