Re: “The Tolstoy Bailout

You're fucking kidding, right? Please, tell me you're kidding, because Wiseltier is nothing more than another neocon right wing hack whose burdensome scolding and nearly un-readable scribblings are made for mockery.

For goodness sake, he writes for The New Republic, which I understand its founding hack, Marty Peretz is now trying to buy back.

Re: “Fight Some More Forever

Considering how silly this piece of crap editorial is, I must defend Fuzzy Chin and his awful screed, at least this far -- The paper is located in Enterprise, Oregon, not Wazzu.

Also, if you do read Chief Big Chin, notice how he jumps from 180 million in funds Oregonians will have to pay for the dam removal to 3.9 billion or so. He doesn't say how or why.

It's sort of like reading a David Limbaugh column, it makes no sense, but you just know somewhere, say in Phil Arnot's office, some idiot nods along and plots their next nonsensical column based on the Jonah Golberg-like reasoning ... or lack thereof.

Re: “Tawdry sordid quote of the day

that’s alleged felonies, heraldo. try to think of him as a meth soaked knife wielding juvenile probation violator, and maybe you can level your own playing field.

Yeah, nothing like the level playing field of bringing a knife to a gunfight. I mean, that kid could have stabbed a tree or something, good thing Liles was on hand to prevent that tragedy from happening.

As for tawdry, maybe if Gundersen wasn't facing multiple counts of drugging women and then raping them this story would have a little more class.

Re: “Rich Somerville Found Dead

I hope his family has been notified, that's the reason the T-S held back on the story for Sunday morning, and yet, here you guys have it posted.
