The job lovin' Eureka City Council doesn't seem to have the ambition to attract Coastal Grove to Eureka. They don't even seem to have the ambition to support the Lost Coast Brewery expansion. They sure were quick to toss those recycling jobs. Throwing open the door for big box retail seems to be the only job creating they like. Low wage, no benefit, part time workers are their idea of ideal citizens, I guess. And odds are, they'll run for re-election as job creators.

With Joel being such a master of the intertubes and all, maybe he could be persuaded to turn his laser-like cunning on the spammers who infest the comments section of blogthing? That would earn a serious Bravo from everyone who makes an attempt to check in with this blog and is usually faced with an entire string of recent comments by 'folks' like CoerEmporse and Uttelevegnalf. Are you guys ever gonna deal with this?
Maybe you could throw Hank a few bones to log in and fix it? The spam would occasionally flare up during his tenure, but would always be quickly tamped down.
