The NCRC job readiness program has contracts funded by the Coastal Conservancy. I don't think they have done any work funded by the Coastal Commission, as the article states. NCRC crews have been working on doing outreach to and cleaning up homeless encampments in natural areas (PALCO Marsh and the Elk River Iksori Trail). The NCRC crews have worked hard and been very effective. The City of Eureka has been so pleased with their work that they entered into a contract with NCRC to continue their outreach and cleanup work in the PALCO Marsh area after the Conservancy-funded project was completed.
