Re: “Hot Sauce is the Right Sauce

I love my two favorite hot sauces, Tabasco and Texas Pete. Hot without taste is just hot.
I just love the taste these two have.

Very nice story.

Re: “When Restaurants Go Dark

@Pat Bitton: My family eats at local restaurants 2-3 times a week. I challenge Cafe Nooner to become a place we would enjoy eating at! We haven't been to either location in years, and don't have any plans on returning.

Re: “When Restaurants Go Dark

I challenge Humboldt residents to eat once a week at a locally owned restaurant in support of keeping our friends in work and our businesses functioning. It's not a hard commitment to make.

Re: “A Boozy Flavortown Meat Party

I have a "Surf & Turf" here in Georgia that would win the "Most Unusual" award.

Snapping Turtle and Venison Tenderloin.

Harriet Gray and I have a 115 acre farm here in Georgia, with two fish ponds and too many deer to count. We sell the cows, and eat the fish, turtles, and deer.

I do miss a lot of Old Town Eureka, but this farm life is great, John Norton

Best wishes to all in Humboldt County

Re: “A Boozy Flavortown Meat Party

This is one of the most well-written stories that I have ever read in a periodical. Ms.Silva made me feel as if I was there enjoying the fun along with everyone else. Her writing style is very entertaining, and most rare in today's world of writing newspaper copy. I look forward to future articles by Ms Silva.
Thanks again

Re: “Sauvignon Blanc: Perfect for Summer

With the shrinking of the cannabis economy, diversifying Humboldt's economic base is of utmost importance all us living here. Thank you for highlighting another piece of our local economy that most people don't realize we have. But, it seems to me this article missed an opportunity to help support local agriculture by failing to mention award wining Sauvignon Blancs made from Humboldt County Grown grapes. Not to mention the tradition that what grows together goes together and we also have home grown Oyster that pair perfectly with Humboldt County Grown Sauvignon Blanc. If you are interested in supporting local agriculture here in Humboldt please see "A Grape Idea" published in this magazine archived here https://www.northcoastjournal.com/humboldt…
