Re: “Eureka Mayor Slams County, Legal Cannabis

Jager fits in with many other public officials, including the newly sworn-in police chief Watson, who love to use the cannabis industry as a whipping boy for all the county's and city's social ills... In this article, Watson blames the region's cannabis industry for the homeless and transients in Eureka, bringing the 2 issues in the above article together in a very sad and highly uninformed way!…

Re: “Eureka Mayor Slams County, Legal Cannabis

Frank Jager may be a skilled and articulate Eureka City administrator; however, I do have some concerns.

While it remains to be seen whether the new canna-businesses will in fact be "the most regulated business[es] in the city," it is fair to assume that they will be more tightly regulated than the coroner's office was when Frank Jager and others were in the practice of doling out sweetheart deals scavenged from the estates of the deceased.

Come to think of it, passing on the Eureka Police Chief post to Steve Watson, one who could be considered beholden to Frank Jager, perhaps might have some hidden perks for Mr. Jager and other city workers involved in questionable pursuits.

On another note, what gives Frank Jager the right to rain on the parade of these new, lawful, and tax-paying enterprises? One is left to wonder if Mr. Jager would change his tune were he to find a way to tap into the proceeds of the emergent industry.

Go live in Texas, Jager. Or Hell. These right-wing heartless hate-bots should follow their heads into their asses and pull the holes in behind them.
