Re: “Dulce Open in Eureka

It was Fat Cat, not Fat City. Dulce is better.

Re: “Dulce Open in Eureka

Too bad they dropped the name Fat City. It's straight forward, no non-sense, get to the point. Fat City is a place to aim for on the spur of the moment, where you could find excellent chow and move on. There are a zillion Dulce Bistros to linger at while you watch your mobile device. Grosse Ville Cafe would have been a better choice.

Re: “It's All Gravy

These Cajun variety at Cafe Nooner Too are my favorite biscuits and gravy in Humboldt... one should also try the bacon gravy at The Green Lily in downtown Eureka. Its pretty amazing too.

Re: “Is Brunch Dead?

You fail to mention the all important champagne, luring us into the day drinking paradise!

Re: “Mole Feelings

I don't mind paying for GOOD Mexican food. The problem is finding it up here. I'll give this a shot although I prefer a red or green mole.

Re: “Mussel Bound

I had those mussels on Saturday - that broth is just divine. We had extra bread ($2 for four slices) so none went to waste!

Re: “Date (and Bacon) Night

My laziness has never affected my vision before but yes, there is a bar behind the pizza oven and the post has been corrected to reflect that. Thanks for the tip.

Re: “Date (and Bacon) Night

You must be blind or lazy if you didn't see the cool bar in the back of the restaurant...

Re: “When Bacon is Your Jam

We'd like to thank Jennifer Fumiko Cahill and the North Coast Journal for featuring BullDoggies of Humboldt in a great article! We enjoy serving up the hotdogs to a wide range of folks who we think are the best!! Some come daily! Some come by every week. Still others come with their own containers hoping we have enough Homemade Macaroni Salad to "fill 'er up!" It is a lot of fun for us! We're very glad you stopped by and hope you'll become one of our regulars!! Jim and Margaret Stevens

Re: “The Case Against DIY

I love the Beloved Bean Bowl! Right re the DIY thing -- It's hard to have a little bit of fresh mango, and a fresh green salsa on hand at home, for example. Yay Beachcomber!

Re: “Reubenesque

When Go-Go Bistro occupied this space they served a similar sandwich. The name of that sandwich as listed on the menu was "Reubenesque". The version served by Nourish is almost as good.
