Have to keep this in mind the next time we head that way!
The Savage Henry Comedy Club has also been giving federal employees free admission throughout the course of the shut down.
To the people posting about the decline in the quality/service I suspect you experienced the downward spiral - as places lose more money then of course the quality will go down, as will morale and service. It sucks.
I liked these restaurants, and I am sorry to see them go.
Yes, take a look at these restaurants and one has to wonder what the owners' personal kitchen looks like.
Masaki's was just plain bad. I went once and never returned.
Supervisor Wilsons greed has ruined Arcata. He only cares about his own career. Mobster mentality.
Smells like someone was using these businesses as a front for money laundering.
I agree.. legalization cant be the blame for everything!! We ate at Masakis quite regularly and every time the service and cleanliness got worse!! That is not a legalization issue that is bad management and training
Im always sorry to see small businesses close, but I think we need to be careful blaming their sales trends entirely on a decrease in peoples disposable income due to the legalization of marijuana...it becomes an easy scapegoat. For example, my partner and I ate at Masakis a couple of weeks before it closed, and vowed never to go back...the ingredients bar looked like a bomb went off, the staff was completely disinterested in actually serving customers, and the place looked like it needed a thorough scrubbing...the same can be said for Kyoto. The moral of the story? Businesses are going to have to compete more for their slice of a smaller pie, and perhaps thats not such a bad thing. Those that deliver quality, service, and value will be much more viable.
So glad, on today of all days, to have stumbled across this review! Now I know what one more of my 2019 New Years Resolutions will be: to grab my best friend and eat a lunch at Delish! Looks like a fresh, fortuitous, way to christen our mutual devotion to mind-ful eating for the New Year!
Thank You for such a timely and topical recommendation!

Can't wait to read about the changes in this biz over the past 47 years....after it sells...
I have really enjoyed your fish store. Thank you for all the delicious food. I really hope a buyer will come soon.
Will miss your wry sense of humor. Big whole when you leave. Hope the next person can live up to the standards set. Happy retirement and speedy recovery. Rosetta Bledsoe

Re: “How French is the Dip?”
The closest to this that I can relate would actually be a similar type of meal served in a "Brasserie" type of restaurant, most likely in Paris or other busy cities.
