Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

12 Steps to Anti-Oppression Online

When: Fri., Feb. 26 2021
Phone: (210) 364-7024
Price: Free
Reg Flowers will explore internalized oppression through the lens of 12-step recovery. In it, using the structure of the 12 steps first outlined by Alcoholics Anonymous, and adapted for this guided journey, participants will reflect on the messages they have received that have shaped their identities as oppressed individuals and may, perhaps, have instilled what Paulo Freire calls “fear of liberation.” Reg is the founder of Award-winning Falconworks Theater Company, which uses popular theater to build capacities for civic engagement and social change. They are a faculty member at Pace University and a company member of Shakespeare in Detroit.
