North Group Sierra Club Hike
7.5 mile medium difficulty hike in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest on the South Fork Trinity River Trail. Dress for the day’s weather. Trekking poles are a plus. Bring water, lunch, hiking footwear, sun/cold protection. Hikers must possess some agility to cross a couple of small tributary streams and deadfall trees. No dogs. Carpools meet at 8:30 a.m. at the Ray's Shopping Center at Valley West in Arcata. 825-3652. Heavy rain cancels.
