With the arrival of spring comes some warmer temperatures this week.

The coast is forecast to see a partly cloudy day with highs in the high 50s to 60 degrees on Monday before moving on up to just about 70 degrees on Tuesday amid sunny skies. Inland, areas like Hoopa and Garberville will see the mercury rise up to the high 60s Monday before hitting around 80 on Tuesday.

The National Weather Services is reminding residents "that even though temperatures will not be extreme, conditions inside vehicles can become dangerously warm for young children and pets."

Temperatures are expected to still be warmer than normal for the rest of the week but easing down from the high expected to hit on Tuesday.
