Missing Eureka Woman Found Dead

A Eureka woman who was reported missing in May was found dead yesterday morning by maintenance workers who were clearing heavy brush off of Fairway Drive, according to the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office.
Foul play is not suspected in Stacy Lynn French’s death at this time, a news release states, and an autopsy is being conducted today.
French, 57, was reported missing on May 10.
The case remains under investigation.

On June 21, 2021, at about 10 a.m., the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Emergency Communications Center was contacted by the Eureka Police Department (EPD) regarding a deceased individual located in the area of the 4700 block of Fairway Drive in Eureka.
According to EPD, maintenance workers clearing brush along the roadway located the deceased individual in heavy brush approximately 10-15 feet from the roadway. A deputy coroner was dispatched to respond and took custody of the remains.
The deceased has been identified as 57-year-old Stacy Lynn French of Eureka. French was reported missing to the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office on May 10, 2021.
Foul play is not suspected at this time. An autopsy is being conducted today, June 22, 2021.
This case is still under investigation.
