The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Communications Center is reporting that 911 service on landlines in Blue Lake and Shelter Cove has been restored.

The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office is cautioning Blue Lake and Shelter Cove residents that a 911 outage is affecting some landlines.

According to HCSO tweets, 157 Frontier landline customers in Shelter Cove are impacted by what has “preliminarily been identified as a hardware issue” while 546 AT&T customers in Blue Lake are being impacted by what appears to be a “network issue.”

“Residents can still reach 9-1-1 via text or cell phone. No estimated time of restoration has been given,” the tweets state.
