Pedestrian Killed in Private Driveway Accident

A pedestrian was killed in Bayside on Friday evening when she reportedly tried to grab onto a pickup truck on a private driveway.
The California Highway Patrol is withholding the identity of the 5o-year-old Bayside woman was was killed until her family can be notified.
According to the CHP, a 53-year-old Bayside man was driving his 2002 Dodge pickup truck down a driveway off Golf Course Road near Bayside when the woman reportedly ran up from behind the truck and tried to grab onto its side.
"As she did so, she slipped and was run over by the left rear tire of the pickup," the release states, adding that she was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
Drugs or alcohol were not a factor with the driver, according to CHP. An investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
