Eureka theft suspect faces charges in Marin

A woman wanted on a warrant for auto theft in Humboldt County was arrested in a stolen vehicle in Novato, police said.
Tabetha Renee Connell, 22, of Eureka was arrested Saturday afternoon after police saw her speeding in a silver 1997 Ford Taurus on Highway 37 near Atherton Avenue, said Sgt. Diana McDermott of the California Highway Patrol.
Police discovered the vehicle had been stolen from a San Francisco resident, and that Connell also had an outstanding warrant in an auto theft case in Eureka, McDermott said.
Connell was charged Monday with resisting arrest, possession of stolen property, driving under the influence and driving without a valid license, said prosecutor Linda Witong. Connell was being held in lieu of $25,000 bail.
