Good God, Part II

Posted By on Thu, Feb 7, 2008 at 4:01 PM

Is it just our imagination, or are these kinds of things happening a lot more frequently of late?

Eureka Police officers were dispatched to a residence in the 2500 block of K Street Tuesday at approximately 6:50 p.m. for a report of a burglary, assault with a firearm, and brandishing a firearm.

Unknown suspects gained entry in to the house by smashing the window of the rear door. The two occupants of the house were chased by the suspect who entered from the rear door.

The occupants ran out the front door and were met by two additional suspects. One of the suspects brandished the muzzle of the firearm at one of the occupants and struck him in the head with the butt of the weapon.

The victims saw a red van occupied by a female driver at the front of their residence. The three suspects entered the vehicle and took off. No property was taken from the house.

Anyone with information on the crime is asked to call the Eureka Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Section at 441-4300.
