Posted By on Sat, Sep 4, 2021 at 8:00 AM

This week we've got an update on the endemic spread of COVID-19 in our county and the strain it's putting on hospital staff. As numbers climb faster than our vaccination rate, the ICU at St. Joseph Hospital fills and staff deal with illness and deaths of community members — some of whom they know personally. We've also got the story of Alba Lopez, who cooks up her grandmother's recipes and her own at her farmers market stand Nicaraguan Food. Hit subscribe for weekly updates on stories from around Humboldt County.
