SF Outside Lands 2010 Line-up Revealed

Posted By on Tue, Jun 1, 2010 at 9:31 AM

Humboldt County offers a fair number of festivals, from oyster- to reggae-flavored. We get plenty of big name folk singers and often some notable hip-hop shows. What we rarely see beyond the struggling/touring bands appearing weekly at the Alibi, the Jambalaya and Lil'Red is serious rock shows – especially of the more modern kind.

Which is why so many residents join the exodus to the Coachella music fest, Sasquatch, SXSW and SF's Outside Lands. Including, last year, NCJ cub reviewers Kaylee and Nick Savage-Wright. (Yes, they're related. To each other and to yours truly, your NCJ freelance arts and money columnist.)

And which is also why so many of us have impatiently awaited the Outsides Lands' line-up announcement – out today!

Fans of 94.1 K-Slug (the county's most live-show-deprived fan base, where a certain NCJ freelance arts and money columnist also happens to work on weekends) should be especially excited by the formerly rumored, now confirmed headliners Kings of Leon, plus The Strokes, Phoenix, Social Distortion, Wolfmother, My Morning Jacket and Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros

Outside Lands takes place August 14 and 15 in SF's Golden Gate Park.

Yay!
