(July 1, 2010) Editor:
I just got through reading the “Thunder in the Redwoods” piece in the June 24 issue, by Terrence McNally.
I enjoyed it, right up until I got to Fern Breed’s “‘68 Panhandle.” I know it’s picky and probably a typo. It was a good article.
I first started going to the Run back at French’s Camp and last attended with my daughter three or four years ago. Let’s keep it going. Times are tough for everyone everywhere and the Run gives bikers from all over the weekend to put all the crap aside, it gives the locals a much needed income boost and it gives me another reason to ride over Pratt to witness the insanity.

Ed. reply: A trip to the archives reveals that the bike in question was most likely a 1968 Harley-Davidson “Pan Head.” The Journal regrets the error.
