Return to Walmart

The idea behind these things is that they’re more about good old-fashioned conversation than election season speechifying, as so far we think we’ve done pretty well with that. But you gotta join the conversation too. Get your questions ready and call 786-KHUM when the time comes — we’ll either read your question to the candidates or put you on the air. Whatever you do, don’t forget to tune in: 104.3/104.7 FM, or online at khum.com.

I’ve heard that the WalMart battle is also what started Arkley’s irrational, intense hatred for Bonnie Neely. True?

Cherie Arkley championed for Walmart when she was on the City Council in 99’ as well. They would just love to pull a bait n’ switch to show up their political rivals who championed the no on Measure J campaign.

The last Hank Sim’s interview I read with Cherie Arkley was so soft he should be embarrassed. He asked no tough questions and practically put words in her mouth. One-sided pussyfoot “journalism”. Boo Hank, practice what you preach.

just talk to Home Depot employees about how great the place is…candidly and off the record, of course.

This is only the first link in a quick search that yielded many:

Yeah, I went to the Home Depot to buy a new hot water heater for my Mom when hers died. I wanted to get an on-demand tankless but the “expert” at HD said, no, the tank heaters were more reliable, cheaper, longer lasting. OK, then I went to a local specialist, who laughed and said, they say that at HD because their HD brand tankless on-demands are the worst you can get.
