Jennifer Savage has opinions, and that’s great — but does she have to express them (“Public Viewings,” Jan. 7)?
In reading your bitter little column (paradoxically illustrated by a truly stunning exemplar of Matt Porr’s work), I found myself pondering the platitude that a picture is worth a thousand words: I could certainly have used more pictures of Matt Porr’s and Joanne Stephens’ art, and fewer of your words.

Savage criticized one artist out of the handful she wrote about, so it’s a “bitter little column?”
Oh, I get it. It’s taboo to criticize a female artist who harps on femaleness. Jennifer, you are such a traitor to womankind!
