KEET-TV’S KIDS CLUB
Description: See a clip of PBS Kids, read a story and do art projects. Plus, each family gets a free book.

HUMBOLDT COUNTY LIBRARY SYSTEM
Description: Summer reading programs including “Be Creative at Your Library” and R.E.A.D. to a dog.
Ages: Open.
When: Programs begin mid-June. Story and craft programs every Wednesday in Eureka and at some other locations from June 24-early Aug. R.E.A.D. at Eureka branch on July 11 and Aug. 8 from 1:30-3 p.m.

MATEEL COMMUNITY CENTER
Description: Summer restaurant skills internship program. Learn art of food preparation and presentation in this five-week program. Upscale BBQ Gala at program end.
Ages: 16-24.
When: 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Mon.-Thurs. June 22- July 23.
Where: Register at South Fork High School Career Center. Intern at Mateel Community Center.
Cost: Paid internship.

SALVATION ARMY YOUTH DAY CAMP
Description: Eight-week camp offering weekly themes, games, crafts, Bible stories and field trips. Meals provided. Sign up early, only space for 50.
