ARCATA COMMUNITY POOL
Description: Swim, kayak lessons, recreation, lap swimming, group lessons, Jr. Lifeguarding.
Ages: 6 months and up.
When: Summer schedule June 15-Sept. 11. Open 5:30 a.m.-9 p.m. Mon.-Fri., 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Sat., and 1-5 p.m. Sun. Recreational swim hours 1-4 p.m. Sun.-Sat. and Tues., Thurs., Fri. 7-9 p.m. Morning and afternoon swim lessons available.
Where: Arcata Community Pool, 1150 16th St.
Cost: General admission $6.50 adult, $4.50 youth (under 18), 3 and under free.

EASTER SEALS COMMUNITY KIDS SWIM
Description: Opportunity for kids to get introduced to water. Adult must be present. Lifeguard provided.
Ages: Up to 18.
When: Tues. and Thurs. from 2-4 p.m.

Cost: $5 drop-in fee.

HUMBOLDT SWIM CLUB
Description: A 140-member competitive USA swimming club.
Ages: 5 and up.
When: Practices available Mon.-Sat. Competitions on some weekends. Tryouts are the 2nd Tuesday of each month, 6-6:30 p.m. at Arcata Community Pool (ACP).
Where: ACP and HSU.
Cost: $60-70 per month.

YOUTH SYNCHRONIZED SWIMMING
Description: Learn techniques and positions of synchronized swimming.
Ages: Youths. Must be able to swim one length without stopping.
When: 10-11 a.m. (beginning) or 11 a.m.-noon (intermediate).
Where: Arcata Community Pool.
Cost: $45/month.

JUNIOR SCUBA SUMMER CAMP SEAL TEAM
Description: PADI SCUBA camp introduces the fundamentals of proper and safe SCUBA diving to youths. Three sessions. Includes DIVE gear, Seal team manual, and towel.
Ages: 8-12.
When: 2-5 p.m. Wed. June 17-July 8, July 15-Aug. 5, Aug. 12-Sept. 2.
Where: Arcata Community Pool.
Cost: $295 per session.

SUMMER YOUTH AQUATICS CAMP
Description: Camp includes sailing, surfing, canoeing and kayaking.
Ages: 10-17.
When: July 6-10 or July 20-Aug. 2.
Where: Big Lagoon State Park.

9TH ANNUAL MOONSTONE BEACH SURFCAMP
Description: Water enthusiasts of all levels will enjoyably learn the aquatic skill necessary for all types of SURFING while being immersed in lifeguard water safety, surf etiquette and beach and ocean awareness. Call today. Space is limited.
Ages: 8 and up.
When: 9 a.m.-3 p.m. June 18 and 19 (opening 2-day session), then Mon., Tues., Thurs., Fri. 4 sessions: June 22-26, July 6-10, July 20-24, Aug. 3-7.
Where: Moonstone Beach.
Cost: $195 for a full four-day session.

HUMBOLDT OCEAN ADVENTURES SURF SCHOOL
Description: Spend every day at the beach soaking up the experience of surfing. Wetsuit, board and instruction provided. Develop swimming and ocean safety skills. All levels welcome.
