(July 3, 2008) As a journalism major and retired creative director of a major advertising agency, I applaud the well-written piece Karen Sack contributed regarding her daughter’s quad at the Junior Nationals in Ohio (“Angels and Insects,” June 19).
In addition, she is a relative of my very close friends Mike and Lynne Walsh, and the late Joe Walsh of Eureka.
To complete the trifecta, my daughter Sandy Armstrong used to babysit Mike and Lynne’s kids. The same Sandy Armstrong who is boathouse director of the Marin Rowing Association and whose girls just won the gold in the Varsity Junior Eight.
I guess what goes around comes around after all.
