DELL’ARTE SUMMER ACADEMY*Description:* Intensive, fun training in physical theater. Classes include Fairy Tale Play Making, Circus Circus, Fantasy Adventure, Serious Comedy, Experimental and Political Theater, Clowning for Kids, and more.
Ages: 7-19, depending on program.

CREATIVE MOVEMENT / Movement-Based theatre*Description:* Explore storytelling through the use of body and sound. Dance-infused exercises include creating musical scores with body and found objects, developing stories through ensemble exploration, and using words as sounds.
Ages: 5-8 & 9-13.

BEGINNING ACTING FOR KIDS*Description:* Beginning acting class geared toward the true beginner and offers a strong foundation in the artistic environment of the theatre. Includes imagination games, pantomime, and improvisation; the use of objectives, obstacles, tactics, familiarization in stage direction, and the identification of the stage space.
Ages: 9-13.

FERNDALE REPERTORY THEATRE*Description:* Children, ages 6-11, will work with instructor Denise Ryles for ‘Le Bebe and Harlequino’s Adventure.’ Teenagers, ages 12-17, will work with actress/director/production manager Tisha Sloan. Participants will gain an understanding of how music & theater fit together.
Ages: 6-17.
When: 9 a.m.-noon (ages 6-11) & 1-4 p.m. (ages 12-17) Tues.-Thurs. June 24-July 19.

INSTANTANEOUS THEATER*Description:* Two-week intensive musical theater workshop for teens. No experience necessary.

SEQUOIA CHAMBER MUSIC WORKSHOP*Description:* A unique opportunity to study and perform at least four different works with four different chamber groups over the course of each six-day session. Free student performances for the public.
