SEQUOIA PARK ZOO CUB CLUB*Description:* Explore the zoo! Track birds in the aviary, feed chickens, visit zoo friends. Have fun making animal art. Each session has its own theme.
Ages: 5-7.
When: Aug. 5-8 & Aug. 26-29.
Cost: $70 per program. Some partial scholarships available.

SPORTS, ATHLETICS & ADVENTURE

ARCATA COMMUNITY POOL*Description:* Swim, kayak lessons, recreation, lap swimming, group lessons, Jr. Lifeguarding.
Ages: 6 months & up.
When: Summer schedule June 16-Sept. 11.

Morning swim 9:15 a.m.-noon daily, recreational swim 1-4 p.m. Mon.-Sun., & 7 p.m.-9 p.m. Tues.,Thurs., & Fri., evening swims from 5-7 p.m. Call for other times, sessions.
Where: Arcata Community Pool, 1150 16th St.
Cost: Call for prices. General admission $6.50 adult, $4.50 youth (under 18), 3 & under free.

SWIM LESSONS At SCOTIA POOL*Description:* Basic swimming lessons.
Ages: 4-14.
When: Morning hours. Mon.-Thurs. June 30-July 10 & July 14-24.
Where: Bus picks up at Rohner Park & transports to/from Scotia Pool.
Cost: $70 per session. Partial grant funding available.

SUMMER SWIM LESSONS in Eureka*Description:* Eight levels of swim technique from intro to water to stroke development, safety and rescue skills.
Ages: Parent/child: 6 months-1 year; Pre-school : 4-5; All other levels 6-13.
When: Four two-week sessions 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Mon.-Fri., June 16-Aug 8.
Where: Eureka High School pool.
Cost: $35-$55. Call for prices.

HUMBOLDT SWIM CLUB*Description:* A 140 member competitive USA swimming club.
Ages: 5 & up.
When: Practices available Mon.-Sat. Competitions on some weekends. Tryouts are the 2nd Tuesday of each month, 6-6:30 p.m. at Arcata Community Pool (ACP).
Where: ACP & HSU.
Cost: $55-65 per month.

YOUTH SYNCHRONIZED SWIMMING*Description:* Learn techniques and positions of synchronized swimming.
Ages: Youths. Must be able to swim one length without stopping.
