HWA RANG DO MARTIAL ARTS*Description:* Self-defense skills, tournament sparring, grappling, traditional weapons study.
Ages: 4-6 (Little Dragon Class) & 7-12.
When: Starts June 18. 4 p.m. Monday & Wednesday (ages 4-6); 4:45 p.m. Monday, Wednesday & Friday (ages 7-12).
Where: North Coast Hwa Rang Do Academy, Sunny Brae Shopping Center, Arcata.
Cost: $69/month (ages 7-12); $60/month (ages 4-6).

TAI CHI FOR KIDS*Description:* Reduce stress & improve focus. Balance, coordination, concentration & breathing training in a playful environment. Space limited, pre-registration required. No drop-ins.
Ages: 7 & up (7-12 must be accompanied by a parent).
When: June 23: 1-2 p.m. (7-9 yrs.), 2:30-3:30 p.m. (10-12 yrs.), 4-5p.m. (teens).

MOONSTONE BEACH SURFCAMP*Description:* Water enthusiasts of all levels will enjoyably learn the aquatic skills necessary to SURF while being immersed in lifeguard water safety, surf etiquette and beach & ocean awareness. Call today. Space is limited.
Ages: 8 & up.
When: 4 sessions. June 25-29, July 9-13, July 23-27, Aug. 6-10.
Where: Moonstone Beach.
Cost: $190 for a full four-day session.

SURF CAMP*Description:* Explore local coastlines and learn to develop your swimming and ocean skills through surfing. Wetsuit, board and instruction provided. Breakfast and lunch provided daily.
Ages: 8-12 (youth) and 13-18 (teen).
When: 6 sessions. June 18-22 (all ages), June 25-29 (youth), July 2-6 (teen), July 9-13 (all ages), Aug. 6-10 (teen), Aug. 13-17 (youth).
Where: Manila Community Center, 1611 Peninsula Dr., Arcata.
Cost: $175-200 per week. Some scholarships available.

BEAU PRE JUNIOR GOLF CAMP*Description:* Week long golf camp followed by once a week on-course play. For Beginning through Advanced players. Culminates with a scramble tournament on final day.
Ages: 5-17. When: 10-11 a.m. (ages 5-9) & 11-noon (ages 10-17), July 9-12. Then every Tuesday starting July 16 & ending Aug. 21.
Where: Beau Pre Golf Course, 1770 Norton Rd., McKinleyville.

REDWOOD SOCCER CAMPS*Description:* Soccer basics & skill improvement. Weeklong sessions.
Ages: 6-12.
When: 9 a.m.-noon. Mon.-Fri. June 18-July 27.

Cost: $100 (includes new soccer ball), $85 (bring your own ball).
