The iconic bicycle race Tour of the Unknown Coast departs from the Humboldt County Fairgrounds in Ferndale Saturday morning. The event allows for cyclists of all skill levels, including those ready to endure “California’s Toughest Century,” a grueling ride up and over the Wildcat to Petrolia.

When: 100 Mile: 7:00 a.m. 100 K: 7:30 a.m 50 Mile: 8:00 a.m. 20 Mile: 10:00 a.m. 10 Mile: 11:30 a.m. EARLY REGISTRATION AND CHECK-IN: Saturday, May 4, Noon to 3:00pm at Adventure’s Edge, 125 W. 5th St., Eureka. ON-SITE CHECK-IN AND REGISTRATION: Registration and pre-registered rider check-in will be on Friday, May 10 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in Bellotti Hall at the Humboldt County Fairgrounds, 1250 5th St., Ferndale. RIDE DAY CHECK IN & REGISTRATION: We open registration and check-in at 6:00 am. Please note what time your ride starts and allow at least 1/2 hour to get through the line.
