Ashley Storms is a wildlife and studio arts major at HSU, who told the crowd of demonstrators about an incident the day after the election. Storms said that while walking to her car to retrieve a notebook, she noticed two white men looking at her. As she continued walking one of the men allegedly said, "There's one nigger I could grab by the pussy." Storms said, "We have come too far for people like me to be this afraid."

Approximately 200 people gathered at the Gazebo in Eureka's Old Town Thursday night to demonstrate against President-Elect Trump.

Chris LeRoy, who said he voted for Trump because of taxes and the economy, held an American flag over his shoulders while debating with people from the protest.

Stewart, an HSU student, said after their encounter that, "it makes me cry as a grown man the way this country is going."
